MAMo Wearable Art Show is neither a fashion show alone nor just an art exhibit, rather it can be seen as a mixture of both! This one-night event provides a platform for Native Hawaiian artists to exhibit their wearable art creations on an elegant runway. MAMo Wearable Art Show is a key segment, to our Maoli Arts Movement, a program which celebrates and uplifts Native Hawaiian art, artists and culture. Throughout the years, artists continue to broaden the definitions of wearable art by creating pieces never seen before! Our MAMo runway is also often seen as a gateway for artists to reveal new collections for their brands.
PAʻI Foundation is excited to present our second Māhū Madness, showcasing some of Hawaiʻi's most talented individuals in the māhū (LGBTQ+) community. From self-taught vocalists to a Julliard alumni pianist, artists have the creative freedom to express their colors through their performances on stage. Māhū Madness provides an unique opportunity for attendees to enjoy a night of "drag" in an elegant and sophisticated environment. Māhū Madness incorporates class, style and grace with the raunchy-ness that everyone is looking for!
