The PAʻI Foundation is debuting its new PAʻI Membership program as part of its individual giving plan.
$25 “Piko” discounted memberships are available for Youth (17 and under), Seniors (62 and older), and Students and Military (with valid ID).
Adult memberships are available at levels of $50 “Kilohana”, $100 “Kiʻekiʻe”, $250 “Kilakila”, $500 “Hanohano”, and $1,000 “Nālani” levels. Additional benefits are added at each level.
Burton White, PAʻI Foundation’s development officer, says
“PAʻI Foundation is working to meet current challenges of government attitudes and funding for indigenous peoples, as witnessed by the actions/plans of current administrations. Additionally there are the day-to-day stresses that challenge every nonprofit organization. The PAʻI Membership program is a way to engage more of our community that is interested in supporting the PAʻI Foundation mission of preserving and perpetuating Native Hawaiian culture and arts for future generations.”
“These are exciting times as PAʻI Foundation programming continues to move towards sustainability, we have broken ground on Ola Ka ʻIlima Artspace, and as we have begun planning to host the Festival of Pacific Arts & Cultures in Honolulu in 2020. We need everyone’s support during this time of rapid growth.”
