Artography Grant from LINC to support a new home for PA’I & Pua Ali’i ‘Ilima

Leveraging Investments in Creativity
announces the second cycle of ARTOGRAPHY: Arts in a Changing America, funded by the Ford Foundation.

This program seeks out exemplary art that captures that new vision. PA’I is pleased to have been selected to participate in this program. Launched in 2004 to capture evolving arts practice in the United States and re-vision this practice through the lens of demographic change, ARTOGRAPHY: Arts in a Changing America supports exemplary arts organizations that are leading a deeper understanding of the impact that changing populations, cultures, and aesthetics in the United States are having on the future of art making.

This grantmaking and field learning program seeks to achieve its goals by:

  1. Supporting artistically exemplary, diverse, and community-responsive arts organizations
  2. Establishing a dynamic learning community of practitioners in order to document and share ideas and practices
  3. Enriching the vocabulary, concepts, and strategies for addressing arts and culture

Funding will enable PA’I to lease office space and a dance studio to expand our educational programs and increase staff. PA’I expects to move into it’s new home by November, 2010.
